信号传导(Signaling Intermediates) Pgp是多药耐药(MDR)基因产物,作为“药泵”功能引起癌细胞产生耐药,主要用于各种恶性肿瘤(如肾细胞癌、肝癌、胃肠道癌、乳腺癌等)的研究。 PgP容易产生耐药的抗药药物主要为长春花碱类和阿霉素等,因此对肿瘤病人选择化疗方案和预后的判断具有重要的临床意义。
P Glycoprotein, the product of the MDR1 gene, is expressed in distinct non-malignant cells, typically cells with secretory and excretory functions. It is assumed to function as an ATP-dependent drug efflux pump with broad substrate specificity. The highest expression of P Glycoprotein has been observed in kidney (proximal tubules), liver (bile canaliculi), adrenal gland and intestine, suggesting that the primary role of P Glycoprotein is in the normal secretion of physiological metabolites and ingested chemicals into bile, urine and the lumen of the intestinal tract.
