    Livin—属于凋亡蛋白抑制因子家族（inhibitor of apoptosis proteins，IAP）
    Livin是凋亡抑制蛋白家族的新成员,主要通过抑制Caspases蛋白发挥抑制细胞凋亡的作用,主要在胎盘组织中表达,同时在一些肿瘤组织中呈高表达,尤其是在黑色素瘤细胞系表达水平最高.
    经研究表明,Livin与肿瘤的发生、发展关系密切,是一个有潜在价值的肿瘤标志物,此外,反义Livin以及Livin活性抑制物的研究有望成为肿瘤治疗的新靶点.

    Livin is a novel member of the IAP protein family and contains a single baculoviral IAP repeat (BIR) domain and a RING finger domain and has two isoforms termed Livin alpha and Livin beta. The BIR domain is essential for inhibitory activity and interacts with caspases, while the RING finger domain sometimes enhances antiapoptotic activity but does not inhibit apoptosis alone. The two isoforms of Livin appear to have different functions and tissue distributions.
